Custom Status Indicators
With the release of version 5.4, districts can now communicate important information about students to their staff quickly and easily. The new color palette tool, available from the student status setup page, allows administrators to create a custom indicator for a single status within each of the available categories, including student status, funding source, disability status, program service, and CTE program services. When a student is assigned the corresponding status, the newly defined indicator icon will be presented on all pages which display the traditional 504, IEP, and RTI icons, including the Student Profile, Teacher Connect, Student Health List, and more. Users can view the details for each indicator icon using the new tooltip.
Standards-Based Final Grades
Version 5.4 provides districts with the ability to assess student standards-based performance for the entire academic year. The new SBRC Final Grade calendar event allows districts to add a final grade entry page to the Learning Standards interface. When this calendar event is selected from the corresponding drop down menu, teachers will have the ability to manually enter final grades for each student and standard, or use the Calculate Grades function to automatically calculate the final score based on each of the student’s marking period grades for the standard. With the next release of eSD, districts will have the ability to display these scores on standards-based report cards.
Online Registration Enhancements
This release includes a variety of enhancements to the Online Registration module based on district feedback. New application statuses allow registrars to easily search for and identify newly submitted forms and applications awaiting additional information. Application notes can be entered for each form and referenced by district staff throughout the submission process. Application reporting provides districts with anticipated enrollment numbers, and details regarding the data contained within pending applications. The Enrollment Reason field allows registrars to manage enrollment records for newly accepted students. The street address search tool returns all potentially matching households based on address. Newly added validation to the date of birth field restricts application submissions to only those students who meet the minimum age enrollment requirements.
